Subcommittee Member in Engineering Studies Club (ESC)

As a subcommittee member, I attended leadership camps, served as an Orientation Group Leader for school-wide orientation camps, and school carnivals, where I facilitated group activities, ensured participant engagement, and maintained smooth programme execution.

I also conducted guided tours for visiting secondary school students during the annual Polytechnic Open House,  providing clear and informative sharing of the campus, the diplomas, and the student life.

Experience Gained:

Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone:
Taking on the role of an Orientation Group Leader and serving as a guide for large groups of secondary school students challenged me to step outside my comfort zone. I learned to confidently engage large audiences, energise participants, and sustain high morale throughout orientation camps and activities.

Leadership Skills Development:
Through various leadership workshops organised by the club, I strengthened my people management capabilities and developed a deeper understanding of effective leadership mindsets. These experiences better equipped me to lead my own diploma club with confidence, empathy, and structure.

Networking and Relationship Building:
My involvement across different clubs and activities provided valuable opportunities to connect with students from diverse courses and backgrounds. In doing so, I built meaningful friendships and professional networks, fostering a supportive environment where we could collaborate and support one another.
